Travelling possibilities are endless nowadays. Airlines and hotels are offering lower prices to attract more customers. But what about other costs, like renting a car?
Here are some things you need to know before renting a vehicle:
- Call your insurance agent and ask if your auto insurance will cover a rental car. In case your policy will do – you don’t need collision-damage or loss-damage waivers, or any other insurance product renting place may offer;
- You may not want to rent at the airport – either do it at an off-site office (it’s cheaper) or before leaving home from an online car-rental company (gives you a bigger variety to choose from).Plus, you can be picked up and dropped off by such company like Enterprise for free;
- When returning your rental car – be on time. You may have to pay for another whole day, even if you are late only 30 minutes;
- Have a full tank of gas, when returning the vehicle. They may charge double of what you’d normally pay for a gas.
