Go!Yes, we know not to trust anybody. So, how come people still manage to take advantage of us? It happens at the worst, most desperate times – when we are so vulnerable.
As if foreclosures aren’t traumatic enough, someone is using your trouble to their advantage. Scammers promise you to help prevent ruining your credit and losing your home. They ask for money or come up with some tricky ways in order to do so.
How do you avoid it? First of all, talk to your lender and try to work something out. Never sign anything under pressure. Read the contract, every single word, including fine print. Make sure you understand what it states. Do not sign a document with the blank spaces. Do not deed your property as collateral.
Be smart and don’t become a victim of the foreclosure scam.
